For the past few weeks so many of the quotes I’ve been seeing, coming across, and the media I’ve been listening to have been about love. What’s up with love? I like to drink Yogi tea, it’s organic, really good, but the best part is the little inspiring sayings and quotes on the tea bag. Since the weather has begun to get a bit cooler and my allergies are in full swing; I’ve been drinking more tea than normal. So many of the Yogi quotes I’ve been getting are about love. That’s just the beginning.
While it’s possible that this ‘love’ message God, the Universe, Source or whomever you believe, has been coming to me for awhile. I only became aware of the message because of a piece of Dove chocolate I was eating. Awareness is key. As I begin to think about what the message about love is, here’s what I came up with based on what I have been reading, hearing and know.
I began to go back to my biblical foundations of love. According to 1 Corinthians, love is the universal language and seeks the best for & in others. Proverbs 30:19, explains how a man loves a women is one of the things that amazes the author. Love is something that really cannot be explained. For the purpose of this article, I’m not referring to love in a romantic way, rather in a way that everyone benefits. More of a brotherly/sisterly love, where we all win.
Heres’ why I think I keep seeing so many web talks, quotes, and references to love. In order to be true to yourself you have to begin with love. It is the basic foundation for everything good. Love is light and it shines bright. If you walk in any public space you can easily pick out the people who know they are loved as well as the people who don’t feel loved. How? They have a light about them, a sparkle in their eyes.
In working so hard to create a business that is designed to serve women bringing them more of that light, it seems I may have lost some of my own light. I love what I do, it’s my passion. Dragonfly Direction is at the core of who I am, serving women makes me feel fulfilled, knowing I am living out my purpose. Yet, sometimes I/ we spend so much time focusing on the fundamentals and foundation that we forget to love what we do. I believe love is action, which also happens to be the best cure for fear. What’s up with love, everything!
Perhaps, I need to take some of my own medicine; not worry so much about doing all the right things with all the right people. Rather, simply be in the moment more often. After all, life is short. I measure success by people who enjoy their lifestyle and love what they do. That’s all I want, I’ve never been motivated by money or fame. I only want to serve my purpose loving on people, teaching them get to where they want to be. Why? Because I know they, you, are worth it and deserve to enjoy all of life. If I can have a small part in your greatness, then I have lived out my purpose. That’s success to me.
What do you love to do? Who do you love to be around? What’s standing in the way? What’s up with love? Take the time to determine the answers to these questions for you, map out your path and begin making a few small changes. The rest my friend, is history.
Here’s the 411 on me. I have overcome some challenges in my life; sexual abuse, domestic violence, and became teen Mom, but that’s not who I am. I am alive and fully me. From my point of view, that equals alot of experience that I get to share with you! I am passionate about helping women understand their true value so they, you, can see that you are worthy of the life you desire. I celebrate with women from all over the country, because together we can bring dreams to reality.
